This is one of my favorite if not the one. This tree was collected in1995 on the 20th of February The reason I know the date so well it was my late fathers birthday. From Denmark in the south west of WA . They are as a friend of mine named them the Chinese elm of our natives. Almost indestructible ALMOST. He has had one that every body including myself told him was dead two years later it budded all around the base. It is now thriving. As most description of our trees, are trees and or scrub. We have noticed that when you let the tree throw out suckers it will take over and the Main trunk will die. This one is in the for sale column but it needed re potting and a bit of re styling. Which is what follows. Can you spot the misstook . Pup

I have been toying with this front for a long time. If you notice in the first pic the branch on the right has a bit of swelling.
Where it and the trunk meet it has annoyed me. The First branch on the left was very week as the trunk is hollow. So that had to go with the new position I am happy with it now and it will not have to be taken of its pedestal for another two years. Pup

Yes I still have this tree. It is too heavy to lug around but if you can put up with the back drop I will get one. Has not changed much though as it is just a maintanance situation now as it is where I am happy with it.

How big is the tree Pup? I wouldn't mind seeing it again when you get the chance.

Hi ya here it is as I said the back drop is a bit messy, as the tree measures 76cm high 80 cm wide the base of the trunk is 8cm. As you can see it is a bit to lug around just for pictures.

Pup, the trees' size in the photos from 2008 were indeterminate, however, with the can for comparison in these recent photos, I understand now why you refer to lugging it around

It is indeed a very beautiful tree and becoming better with age.

Thanks for pic and the scale - much clearer impact now. And the angle is definitely better, where the first branches come off. Great tree.
