Luckily my job was to clean the gutters. When I got it out this is what I found

There was "mulch" in the back of the gutter for 2 metres and that's how far the roots travelled. Gotta love the figs up here in sunny QLD 8-)

It's a benji - there are leaves on it that are very small. Just naturally reduced from a limited supply of food and water I think. It had grown over the downpipe drop to get all the water it could. This is number 5 that I have collected in the last 6 months. I found one in Spring Hill growing out of the bricks under a rainwater head. I just chopped it off with a chisel and potted it up after scraping some bark back and applying some rooting hormone. It's going strong :)

We did have some rain Pup - we got 53mm here on Sunday night. Could have done with some more though.
