Re: My pots
Great stuff! All would find a perfect place in my collection.

Re: My pots
2 more experiments. Was not expecting the texture to melt, was a pleasant surprise. Also tried carving a bottom rim

Re: My pots
Great job Kitoi. I like the unintentional way the glaze has melted. Sure makes them unique pots.

Re: My pots
Fantastic results from your experiments, I really like that blue glaze. Do you think the molten look is repeatable or just the luck of the firing? The carved rim looks really good, any chance of a photo from different angle so I can see the detail? Since I started playing with clay a few months ago I am looking more & more at the detailing of pots and have always liked your lines.
Can I be really cheeky and ask for the recipe for ...........
The Coconut flour muffins... That tray full of them looks sooooo yummy.... And everyone thought i wanted the glaze recipe
That would be really nice too
Look forward to seeing your next experiments,
Matt

Re: My pots
Appreciate the kind words guys!
Will get some close ups later today.
You can't tell by the photo but the color is actually black with brown spots, similar to a Tenmoku glaze. Texture was expected to a course sandy finish but it melted, unexpected at 2167f.
3 more experiments

...and now on to the cooking portion
Coconut Flour Muffins
INGREDIENTS
* 2/3 cup coconut flour
* 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), melted
* 8 eggs
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp baking powder
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Whisk together the coconut flour, salt, and baking powder.
3. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Whisk in the melted butter.
4. Add the coconut flour mixture to the egg/butter mixture and stir to combine.
5. Divide the batter among 12 greased muffin cups. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
