Fit a stock tree to this Virt?!

Post by Kelv »

Ahoy!
Now, maybe this post also belongs in the Buy, Swap or Sell forum, but I think this place is appropriate too

This is random and impulsive sketch of a tree drawn in class (as most sketches come)
What do you think has happened to this tree in this sketch?

Zoom in for a closer inspection! (Press 'F' to expand when viewing!)

My other question is: I am actually thinking of seeking a STOCK PLANT so I can replicate this sketch
So I was wondering:
1) What can be changed in this sketch?
2) What species might be suitable?
3) Anyone has seen stock suitable for this?

I do realise that I drew it as a pine tree, but I suppose that can always change!

Cheers!

P.S. I intended to draw an ancient tree, the top has died off and collapsed, as so has many large branches below... (just in case ;))

Could have been hollowed out by a fire Boomy. If i were trying to fit a tree to it i would make it Deciduous, say, An Elm or oak would be appropriate.

Interesting subject, but I'm not too sure about having two apexes no matter what type of tree you use. I'd be more inclined to use the left for the dominant apex and cut the other one down somewhat.

I think an Oak will make an interesting subject! Or maybe a RED RIVER GUM?! :D
I was also thinking about fire damage, the usual struck by thunder idea.
But I wonder if I can craft a bit more of unique story as opposed to the same ol 'zapped and burnt to crisp' idea?

Just throwing ideas around

And T-man I think you are right! I will have to do some editing, fun time! Ill get back with an edited sketch

Cheers
