I think its an acacia howitti aswell..
I have one that i got as a starter from teds old nursrey in clarinda about 6 or 7 years ago..
its turned out to be a really beautiful little tree and by far one of my favorites..
Pretty tough tree from my experiences with it aswell !!

It is definitely not Acacia howittii prostrata. The phyllodes are too sharp on this. They are rounded on the howittii. The colour is wrong too, and the internodes are longer.
*EDIT* Perhaps A. pravissima cultivars like "Golden Carpet", "Bushwalk Baby" or "Kuranga Cascade". Do you know what it is Peter?

Is the common name for this on "ovens valley wattle". I have had one for many years all I have done to train it is wire a new top up from time to time and give it a really hard chop after flowering, I don't consider mine to be much of a bonsai but is a nice flowering pot plant, a lot of people comment on it when looking at my trees they seem to like the weeping form.
