With 50-60 dollars you are best to keep your options open as to species and you will walk away with stock that has a great future.
But back to your question.... Hmmm If you are lucky it may have a trunk that is about 40-60mmmm wide but figs don't grow that fast in NSW.
Best to see what is in season for value for money.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: Ray Nesci Nursery!
You will get some good stuff from ray for $60. You will have to ask him to find something tho.
For $25 I picked up a fig at Riverview today. It was about 6" across the base and about 8ft high. I had to cut the roots off under the pot from the ground and had to move another first which was even bigger, but had to leave it there as I had run out of money
Still leaning up against a wire fence out the back.

Re: Ray Nesci Nursery!
Ray gets the figs in batches, good ones go pretty fast... (sorry
)
You should be able to grab a nice fat little one, I got one for $40 that was 4 inches across with great taper, I have a thread on it here somewhere.

There you go, if you get there on the right day, you can find this size in a too small pot for $40. They should be in $60 pots though for the size.
