Weeping willow cutting question

Post by mugen »

Hi just wondering if anyone has had any luck with large branch style cuttings of weeping willows? and if so what time is best?
Have heard they strike easily and i have seen a branch i like but not sure if it is worth taking it if it wont take.
thanks :)

See here for what can happen in a short time with willow cuttings.

Now would be a great time to collect a big branch cutting. Saw it off and stick it in a bucket of water until roots grow then plant out. Can't go wrong :)
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
