Re: sticks in pots. These are my sticks in a pot - my entry for the Christmas tree competition held at my club this week. The brief was to break a few rules and have a bit of fun. I didn't win but then I'm only a beginner.

The lake is melted candle wax, the snow is salt (packs down in humid weather). I made the mountain out of white DAS but I am hoping to find a proper suiseki stone like this one day. I had a ball doing it but my cat has now taken a liking to the white paper and has left unsightly marks.

Bit of a break in tradition this year with the lilly pilly getting the treatment instead of the Hornbeam
