I have a favor to ask. Can you identify this one?
It is a late flowering variety which I picked up as a ground layer a few years ago. It has some PH issues at the moment hence the leaf colour. The closest I can get to a positive I.D. is Kinpo Nishiki but this may not be it
Any clues would be great.

Kinpo Nishiki has a more Orange quality to the pink so I don't think that is the go.
Your plant doesn't look as well as it should and it would seem to need Trace Elements and/or feeding with Miracle Gro, the veins in the leaves are a give away for that. After it is brought back to good health you might find the blossoms are a bit different next year in any case. You might be best to remove what flowers and buds are on it at the moment to help strengthen the plant.
At the moment it looks a little more like Kikusui which I have flowering now. Kikusui not only is a fairly late flowering Satsuki but seems to keep going longer than many of the others. Mine has altered over time and I have many small stripes and speckled effects in the flowers as it has matured.

The Deficiencies are a result of trialing scoria in a potting mix and what I am guessing is a PH imbalance so after the busy time is over I will re-pot in a different mix. I know Kanuma is supposed to be it for Azalea but I find the cost to be prohibitive so I am trialing.
G'day DBee, I had a post earlier with a satsuki to ID and it turned out to be kikusui, here's the link, there are quite a few pics, it was an older one and had quite variable flowers. (its the pics for ID, that I initially thought was gyoten)
I saw one the other day but it looked a little average so I left it. There is always next year.
Its a beautiful flower, thats for sure. I have two (I think) now and they seem to be growing well and look healthy. If you are sure the will be there again next year then wait for good looking ones otherwise grab it while you can and nurse it back to health. I would say its definitely worth having in your collection
