Re: How about a visit to Canberra?
Hi,
Thanks, Russ and Jarryd. I'm sure you won't regret the trip to Canberra!
I live quite close to the venue of the club show and anyone coming to Canberra would be welcome to visit my place for a coffee or a beer, and a look at my trees. Will send PM to Jarryd about JBP.

Leigh's nursery, the National Collection, and the club show venue are quite a distance apart, but by car that isn't a problem. Of course the choice of hotel/motel would also depend on your budget. For a middle price motel in a good location, see the Embassy Motel in Deakin, http://www.ozihotels.com.au/canberra/embassy.phpIs there any recommendations on accommodation in the area?

Re: How about a visit to Canberra?
Message for Scott R.:
I tried to send you a PM, but for some reason it's remained stuck in the Outbox. Tried to delete it, but can't do that either. Tried to send it via the CBS website, but they don't seem to have a PM facility. Anyway, all I wanted to say is that you, or any other interested persons living in Canberra or nearby, are welcome to visit me and my trees any time, after we've arranged a day and a time. Please send PM with your phone nr.

Re: How about a visit to Canberra?
I just can't find the time to take photos of the bonsai that will be for sale at our club show in Canberra. However, here is a list of trees that I know will be available:
Japanese black pine
Ponderosa pine
Scots pine
Chinese elms, incl. rare Jacqueline Hillier cultivar
Junipers
Crabapple
Swamp cypress
Note: these are NOT stumps with a few branches!
The Weston Creek Bonsai Group show is at the Weston Creek Community Centre, Parkinson St., Weston, ACT. It is right next to the Cooleman Court Shopping Mall and has the same parking terrain. The show opens on Sat. April 4 at 10.00 am and closes on Sun. April 5 at 4.00 pm. Sales: see above. Demonstrations: to be advised.
