Sydney Weather?
hi guys and girls just wondering if this really cold weather in sydney at the moment will kill or harm some figs??? its the middle of summer and i have a heater on and a jumper whats going on!!

No it won't.
Could get a cheap frost cover 'bout $10 from bunnings and drape it over them all if you are worried. I would not bother unless a frost is predicted.
We had a few frosts last winter and none of my 50 or so figs we effected. I can't find it now but someone posted a picture of fig bonsai covered in snow. I believe even they survived.
Tis' a bit chilly tonight though.

Same in Melbs - should be gettin that 35 deg + weather
, but the 2012 event is on the horizon
, so will have to adjust.
Figs r doin ok, they kinda in stasis, hanging out for the hot days
.
Like Mitch said, unless frost (and a cold one at that) is forecast, wouldn't stress too much

My figs are growing leaves, faster than I can pluck them here in Sydney.
