How about a Mallsai competition. Buy a Bunnings bonsai and then see who can improve it the most in a predefined period of time.

I miss the Ledanta virtual competitions, never could do virts but always a good read.
Perhaps a sketch competition.

I think you should run a competition based on the inspiration idea, as what inspired you to take up bonsai, or inspired in you a love of trees in general, could lead to some great stories and photos.

I have more than a few dogs remains (forget brekky), so I vote for this option... I might have a chance :shake:

I was reading http://bonsainurseryman.typepad.com/ , Brent Walston's blog; he has [back in June] a piece on"Rules You Won't Find In Books" - could be good place to start, for another thread??
