Yes, Elaine who I think is the owner is a member at BSV. I think she did a workshop with Hiro last July the same day as you did so you have probably met.

Went there several years ago. There used to be one on the main road , just before the bridge I think. From memory it was fairly small . Can't remember the name of it , but I think it was a suburban house and backyard

Bonsai Island is at 32 Phillip Island Road Newhaven tel/fax (03) 5956 6388, email bonsaiisland@bigpond.com, open Sat & Sun 10am-5pm, other times by appointment - we appreciate 48 hours notice please; run by Elaine & Jim, this is a small family operation designed to introduce visitors to bonsai, please visit if coming to Phillip Island - we welcome everyone novice & expert alike, bonsai on display and for sale, we keep around 200 trees in display containers, moderate amount of starter material, good selection of Japanese pots to suit shohin size trees (if you're looking for really large trees and really large pots, look elsewhere), quality Japanese tools, great selection of bonsai books, lessons available, re-potitng, re-styling nad bonsai boarding services, gift vouchers; so if you lifve anywhere in Gippsland or south-eastern Melbourne and can't face a drive to the Dandenongsd of if you're coming to Phillip Island (for penguins, bikes, surfing, sailing, any form of sightseeing, carting visitors about etc), please call in. We're on the main road after you cross the bridge from San Remo, on the left between Islantis Surf Shop and the Vet's. Hi All,

Saw this post and thought I should give it a bump.

I am originally from near phillip island and went to school there.

I have been to the nursury a few times and Elaine is very friendly and always will to give a tour or share her knowledge.

Stock is well priced also.
