[WANTED] - Stock trees for development

Post by Webos »

Gday Gang,
I'm on the lookout for something new to play with and develop. If anyone has anything out there in the back, forgotten corner that they want to get rid of, let me know. In particular I'm looking for larger sized Pines or other conifers with aged barkbut definitely willing to look at other genera/species. My budget is at the lower end of the scale and thats why I'm after those forgotten about behind the garage type trees. Definitely willing to consider trees with major faults in them.

Thanks

Received a couple of replies via PM but I thought I'd bump it up and see if any more of the AusBonsai gang had anything for me.

I'm thinking of holding a low or no cost weekend dig around here in late winter if you would like to chose your own and have a great time doing it. Open to anyone else if you are close enough too. Casterton - Far west Vic. Hawthorn, pines, elm, small-leaf olives, prunus varieties and more.
All difficult things have their origin in that which is easy, and great things in that which is small.

Thanks Pup and Ken,
I did have a look at those but I'm looking for heftier trees. Which are closer to the large Bonsai size rather than the small.

I'd suggest grabbing a shovel and going on a dig.
