G'day
I have noticed a very small (almost microscopic) white scale type of bug on a recently purchased seiju elm. I would of just swiped the trunk with an alcohol swab but I cant really get in there at it because of all the bark.
I've scraped off as many as I could see but wouldn't mind giving it a spray with something incase I've missed any.
Do I need to start pulling off chunks of bark ?
Would a pesticide spray do the trick ? If so which one.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Removing scale from a seiju trunk
Should be a simple matter of spraying with Pest oil. Might as well cover the foliage as well just to be sure.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Make your own white oil/ pest oil easy as, 300mls water 100mls vege oil & a few drops of dishwashing liquid... put it in a spray bottle shake & away you go.. Same job minimal cost..Mack_187 wrote:Thanks for the quick reply. Will zip down now to bunnings. Cheers.Bretts wrote:Should be a simple matter of spraying with Pest oil.
