Well in that case i will come see you some time i didn't notice u was in Victoria i went last year and met Jarrod and antonio had a ball and come home with some trees. I usaly go to see a game of footy so look out.
i would pay to see that as my opinion it is better than alot of bonsai nurseries out there, very well thought out and i would love to see alot more pics if you can. what we could do with alot of land .

I love the improv monkey poles from bessa bricks are they? and the large chunks of cutoff tree trunks to show off the larger plants. Do you use a garden hose with fine mist setting or a watering can?? I saw the hose there and wondered
I need to use a plastic can cause the hose just has too much pressure, even whern turned down, as sufficient pressure is needed to produce a finer mist. sure beats couching in the house!

One thing I would say, every path should be wide enough for two people to walk side by side to admire and discuss, and there is plenty to admire about your gardens, Bodhi!
If you are not killing plants, then you are not extending yourself as a gardener..

Very nice to see this thread come up again. Yes, they are painted Besser blocks. I have four watering stations and the hoses reach to exactly every corner of the Nursery. I have extended the Nursery to accommodate a growing on section and a section where people can select a tree that is not in a Bonsai pot. The best watering wand i have found(and i have tried many) is the Earth core. It has many settings and i use it on shower at the full on setting. I water like Walter Pall does, full on and hard from the top. i find it discourages insects and gives them a good soaking. If i hold it up high over the tree it does not dislodge any soil and mimics rain nicely.

I would if i could Greth. Bodhidharma has been a labour of love for me and the money that has been poured into it will never be retrieved materially. The pathways were already there and i worked and designed around them. Contrary to popular belief, there is no big money to be had running a Bonsai Nursery (as shown by those that are closing up) But the rewards you do get are so much better. Imagine going to work every day and doing what you have passion for, Meeting (mostly) people with the same like minded spirit and being in an environment that lets your mind think about things other than wordly problems.

Thanks for the watering advice. I'll have a look around for the Earth Core wand and try this depending on the $$ . I've actually been watering all my plants from down low and getting a fine trickle of water to come out which dislodges very little soil and then occasionally getting the tops wet. Quite the opposite to what you do! How do you water in your liquid fertilizers? Do you have seperate fillable canister / thingy that feeds into the sprayer unit? What about slightly 'chuncky' fert such as Charlie Carp....

No probs on the brain picking Stewart If you look closely in the first photos you will see some 1000litre tanks. That is my fertiliser station. Fill it with water and whatever fert i am using and straight onto the tree. I usually lay A Better grow organic fert on top of the soil and water in but i am experimenting with a product called Profert which is a liquid form
