Bodhidharma,
I would be most interested in your results if you get to set up an experiment.
Always have our learning caps on.
Thanks.

if i remember correctly from chemistry from school any 2 different metals will cause electrolysis. a little experiment you could try is to get a lemon put a copper wire into one side and an aluminium wire into the other if you connect the wires up to a low wat light bulb there should be light. just something you could try if you wanted.

Its progressed nicely from when it started. Personally I'd leave the dead trunk to rot away rather then keep a constant image, if you let it rot it will show character and slowly show how a real epiphytic tree would progress naturally and in the end produce a very natural image which we are all after in bonsai.
I can't wait to uncover mine next spring that I've going at the moment and will hopefully start another 2 at the same time.

de Keizer, maybe we should do a bonsai style using a small light bulb and some mixed wires? ;)
Grant, love to see your interpretation of this style when you get to it.
Appreciate very much all the comments.
