During a styling competition in 2009 I styled this tree:
Because I am under the impression that Junipers and the like do not grow well where I live I did not gave any attention to the tree- and it did not grow much in 2010. I removed most of the wire a while ago and left it alone again:
today i rewired the tree and styled it in the same style I used for the competition. I used heavy horizontal and vertical bends to bring in the branches closer to the tree:
I am happy with the outcome - the tree is very three dimensional with all the bends, difficult to observe this in a photo......and wiring the whole tree was a lot of fun.
I have to refine the pads to bring out the full potential of the tree - but not working with the species much I don't know how to pinch this one. Should I pinch as indicated in the following photo or higher up?
Any cultural and other advice would be appreciated.
