Style advice for fig

Really interesting tree, it could be good to create an african Savannah style with this guy you know the kind of tree that has been grazed by giraffe.

When you repot angle it a bit more to the right and try to develop the lower left branch downwards and develop a smaller canopy on top?

I think you have a shapely shohin top, and an interesting base in a completely different scale. For me, the sooner they lead separate lives the better...

Savannah trees are tough, and this is lush green.

Yeah, I somewhat agree with Gavins post. This fig has a beautiful shohin top, and I keep wanting to see it a bit shorter with a more proportioned trunk. Of course, the only way to make something this happen is lopping the trunk and regrowing the top, and I'm not sure if that's quite what you were after...

Having said this, I like that it is so unique by how disproportioned it is. A literati-ish style somes to mind in the way the trunk is so long before it reaches the bushy top, in which case refining the top into a smaller unit could help.

Looks like a Pompom to me, but could be 2 magnificent trees

I would layer off the top just above the big kink and make a smaller tree from the top with real wide low canopy, then utilise the very powerful tapered trunk to make a taller elegant forest styled fig. lots of hanging roots from quite high branching
