Although this is commonly thought to be the case, it often does not do the bonsai justice. The best advice I received when photographing bonsai was to have a look at the Kokofu Ten books. Each tree is photographed above the rim to show the nebari better.Ash Barns wrote:With respect Pat, viewing trees at a show is entirely different to photographing them.
