Australian Bonsai on the worldwide stage!

Post by Scott Roxburgh »

Recently I received an email from a mate in the states about good Bonsai nurseries to visit in and around Sydney.

As I cannot resist any participation in bonsai related activities, I offered to take him around as well as catch some of the sights of Sydney's Northern Beaches (and an Awesome lunch at Bathers!).

The plan was first up Megumi's then off Ray Nesci's then on to Bonsai South. This was not to be

We decided that we wouldn't be able to make all three in the one day, so as the temps were hovering around 45c I said we should stick to the 'cool' of the coast and avoid the west (Ray's). It later reached 47c in Balmoral!!! :shake:

Unfortunately BonsaiSouth was closed when we got there after 2 hours of traffic :o, so we headed to Bondi for some 'interesting' people watching. It was a great day, but the pics just don't show the heat!
