Buxus styling

Post by leamos »

Need some advice on how to style these two buxus I was gifted, Before anyone abuses me I know they need bigger pots but I only got them today out of the blue, they were bare rooted and thats all I have to put them into today

First one I was going to go with upright informal, but don't know what to keep and what do lose, scared I'll make a mess of it

The second one was ground layered and think it would be perfect for a semi cascade but am again unsure what to cut and what to keep
Any advice would be really really really appricated by this newbie

I would just wait till the branches get thicker (along with the trunk). And then maybe point the branches down on maybe around an 80 degree angle? just a thought.
Even the most unfortunate try to reach a common goal, and thus, they shall be rewarded.
Being smart, is not trying to be smart.
the only reason critics say bad things is because they can't do it themselves.
