Pieries Japonica branch snap help

Hi guys i have a pieries japonica which is about 3years old i think i just going over her and accidentally caught a branch which has half snapped on the main trunk of the tree..is there anyway i can repair it or stop it from dying as im afraid it will..

Hi
If you have some grafting tape you can try binding the break, maybe trim the branch as well to lessen the weight and stress on the branch.

mm have no tape lol except sellotape would that be ok i doubt there branch isnt heavy illt ake a quick pcture and put it up

I think you have lost that one, but you might be lucky
a drop of glue on the woody part might hold it and then some wound putty over it, It is fairly small any way so if you lose it not much lost really

hey ken thanks for that any type of glue specific ..sry still learning yeh i htink it may be aloss which is a shame casue its one branch i would of kept lol

I use Loctite 406 but any cyanoacrylate based adhesive such as superglue will do. Basically if it will stick your fingers together it will work on a tree.

Tony beat me to it
Locktite or super glue. try to avoid getting on the cambium tho.
Remove some foliage to lighten the branch if seems too heavy
