Iker Bonsai Pots - USA

Post by MelaQuin »

Check out ikerbonsaipots.com. Chuck is a potter in Ohio USA with a lovely selection of mini and shohin pots and a smaller selection of larger sizes. I have just received 6 of his pots and his quality is top notch, the glazes are individual and beautiful. The pots are frost resistant - not something that is needed in most of Sydney but I am hoping this aspect makes them more heat resistant in our summer.

Chuck responded to my numerous emails courteously and promptly. When I placed the order the pots were packed and shipped within 24 hours and arrived very well packed and intact within 7 business days. I can recommend his pots, most especially now that the exchange rate is so favourable to us. On the small pots add an estimated $10.50 each for postage and you will come pretty close to the total cost of the pot. I got someone to order with me so the freight was spread a bit more but each pot landed at less than a local handmade pot of the same caliber would cost.

The only suggestion I have to make if you see pots you like, ask for another photograph of the pot to check the colour. I found a colour discrepancy in three of the pots that should not have happened. What was pictured was very different from what was received tho they were the same pots. As well, if you see a pot you like but you are not sure about the colour, ask for another photo because it could really be what you want.

If you are into minis this is definitely a potter worth checking out and NOW while the exchange rate is so good. You can always go to Google for Exchange Rates and get the current figure if you are keen. Chuck understands the need for safe packaging and as small as possible to minimise freight so overall he is a very good potter to check out. It really is beaut to get a different pot for a special tree rather than the commercial pots from China.
