What type of tree is that one on top of the oz bonsai page the weeping one second from the right . I have to get me one of those ?

That is an Acacia howittii by Denise that won 2nd place in our 2010 Australian Native Bonsai Awards.

how would you go about developing one of these , could one be field grown to get a big trunk or does that not work on these ?

they are quite slow growing, and putting them in the ground wil speed them so i see no reason why not
