[Wanted]- Callicarpa -(Perth only)
Wondering if anyone in Perth has any to sell, or knows of a nursery that has them in stock...preferably something with a little girth to it.
Cheers!

He will get lost as he has to cross the river.

He is not in Perth Craig he lives in South Geraldtoncraigw60 wrote:Will callicarpa grow in Perth ?

He lives on the coast about 45 klms from Perth, so my comment about getting lost is valid, plus he will need seasick tablets to cross the river.

Re: [Wanted]- Callicarpa -(Perth only)
I grow callicarpa here, this year they have been fantastic because of the cold wet summer but in warmer seasons they hold their leaves all winter so the berries are not really visible and thats the whole reason for growing them.

Craigw60....the nursery I've tried to get them through grows them so I'd imagine they do alright over here. Yes, the berries are the main attraction (and exactly why I want to give them a go) so I imagine only time will tell. Any chance of showing some of yours??
Strange though, I received a call today from said nursery and officially placed my order of a half a dozen (only tubestock), but it's a start.
Cheers!

Pup!...I will never jump on that wagon....and anyway, just how far exactly are you from the C.B.D??...bit of a case of the pot calling the kettle black wouldn't you say?

Cmon mate, if it was that close I'd be down at your place every weekend.....but seriously, if we were in Sydney, that sort of distance could take 3 hours by car. Great thing about living in this great State...no traffic.8 klms as the crow flys
By the way, didn't one of the greatest Eagles of all time come from Geraldton??

Cheers!
Anthony
