Bonsai By The Harbour '11

Post by barefoot »

Bonsai By the Harbour weekend is on again folks. This is a relaxing enjoyable weekend held at the Shore Rowing Shed at Gladesville. We have all day demonstrations, we have hourly demonstartions or we also have this year workshops to be held down in the Boatshed. if all this does not grab your attention then just wander outside and gaze at the view or watch the boats going up and down the Parramatta River. See the attached flyer for details.

Greetings Gentle Bonsai Folk,
As an old Shore boy i would love to attend this weekend.
Unfortunatley as a full time worker I need more than a two months to arrange holidays.
If there is a date for 2012 can you please let us know. Will it be the second weekend in June 2012?
To drive 1000kms, each way, to a bonsai weekend needs some organization and permission from "her in doors".
This year in June we will be visiting family on the Isle of Wight.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce

Good on you Bruce. It has been held on the long weekend in June for a few years now, so you can mark it in your diary for 2013 then. Grant Bowie and Lee Wilson will be the main demonstrators on the weekend, the Saturday and Sunday. We will need Monday off to recover.

Thanks for posting all the pictures Steve. It was great to see so many people come down from Coffs Harbour; let's hope that they don't run into too much rain on the way home. As well as all the locals 2 people came from SA and another 2 from Canberra then others from Goulburn and Wollongong. There was plenty of things to choose from with three activities going on at the same time.

It was a fantastic day, pitty about the rain though, all the work shops were great and the people were good to, thanks to all who were involved in the demos and the setting up of the weekend.
I also got a couple of good bargains from the seller and the silent auction, I also won the book from the door raffle, a good one to.
Thanks to everyone again.
