I've been watching season 1 of "eureka" and there are a few bonsai on the office of one of the characters at Global Dynamics.

I think i saw a bonsai in a series called "breaking In" with christian Slater too. That was a while ago now so it's stretching the memory :?

Not sure if anyone remembers in Blade Runner there is two bonsai on either end of Tyrells desk. I tried to look for the image but no luck.

My mate just rang me and told me to watch the movie "the skin I live in" with Antonio Banderas as it has quite a few bonsai in it. I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds like they are maples, and there is a scene where he is wiring one of his collection. I have watched the trailer, and it looks like an odd movie, but my friend said it all makes sense at the end. Its rated R and has a few "F" and "C" words, so not for kids.

Last nights episode of the simpsons, i didnt catch the start of the episode to "get" the premise of the joke but Moe became a Judge and he judges a Japanese man's Bonsai, to which the man tries to hang him self from his bonsai only to land on his feet in shame, i cringed at the gag but my pop lol'd.

Greetings,
I just looked at the photo of the tree in "Duplicity".
The tree is displayed on the wrong side of the desk. The tree is a "left" tree and is on the "left" side of the desk. To be displayed correctly the tree should be on the right side of the desk with the first branch towards the left.
Nice tree, I would be happy to own it, or have a club member bring it to a show for display.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce.

Just watched the latest Batman with my young fella, I saw 3-4 decent sized bonsai in the boardroom of Wayne Enterprises in the last 10 minutes of the movie.

Ah yes, in the boardroom scenes. I'm actually friends with the guy who lent the studio those trees. Great trees and excellent movie.
