Some new pots

I meant the texture - probably along the lines of what Penny mentioned about the tree not being overpowered by the pot. I guess to an extent it's a personal thing, but I like a pot with clean lines. Keep us posted about the website.

Thanks for the explanation Paul! It does make sense. I love the blue so it was always something I wanted to know. I may have to commission/buy a pot from you sometime.

The blue in rutile glazes is also optical. The glaze needs to be thick for the colour blue to be reflected. If it's thin, you get clear or a washed-out grey.

Hey Penny,

You are spot on about the finicky nature of rutile glazes.

You forgot to mention that if you apply them to thickly that they will run onto the kiln shelf and that is not a pretty sight at all.

However, when you get the application right, the results can be spectacular.

Hi Paul, once again, you've produced some lovely pots there #2 & 3 from the first batch are favorites especially the texture on #3, 306-106-11 from this batch is also very nice! oow and PX-054-11!
