Melaleuca nesophila ( showy honey myrtle ) This is the first time I have worked on this species. This particular tree was bought in a job lot of a nursery who's lease had expired.
I bought four trees cost me $ 70-00 I will post the others as they live or die.
This one does not seem to shoot back too readily. It was first cut in April, then potted up in August. To day I gave it a bit of wiring and a re pot into a round pot as I am not sure of which front. It is a native to the south Cost round Esperance across to the Eyre district. When it flowers they are purplish pink

Good job so far Pup. I like the second angle as it appears to show better flair at the base of the tree, but I'm not sure about the branch on the LH trunk going upwards. I hope it back buds for you.

yea i think i prefer the sec angle.
i think it looks a bit more natural, the right trunk, maybe a touch more movement though.
i hope it all goes well for you with this one pup, but i'm sure it will considering you're other works...

A follow up to this tree. I have been watching to see if it will bud back on old wood at this stage of its development it has not.
It is moving along OK at this stage so I thought I would show it again. Here are some pics of it today. It was the 12Th of November last. I started work on it.

Looking at the bark and what you have done with it, lack of back budding doesn't seem to be an issue

My back is killing me carrying you around.
There was some nice stock to be had yesterday.
As I have said before not really interested unless I can see some thing worth while in it.

Steven you asked!! so I shall do as you asked now that it is light.
As you can see the small cuts have healed well the larger one is a bit slower.
A fiend has covered them with bark from another tree and super glued them in place if done well you cannot see it.
What I tend to do if possible is leave some bark
from the cut area so it can be put back!!. You do have to remember to do that though Duh!!. Pup

I can't believe this one slipped past me in its original form... Great progression well documented!
Far be it from me to offer unwanted advice to one as experienced as yourself in matters concerning Melaleucas, but... ...I find the view to be a little cluttered, most especially the upright branch on the left which seems to cross a number of other branches.
So, I've taken to it with my virtual secateurs, and I may have gotten a little carried away.
Please tell me if this is a stupid idea, and if you'd prefer me not to float virtual suggestions in future. (I can't promise that I'll stop, though...)
