Just pruned my Elm.
I have just spent the last three hours getting my Elm ready for repotting at the end of this month. It is finally starting to get some ramification and will benefit from the hard cut back. I am developing this tree totally for its winter outlook and really enjoy pruning the twiggy sub branches to increase growth. I estimate another five years to reach my goal with this tree. It has taken about nine so far. I hope to get it into a shallower pot (green glazed) but we will see.

Hi Bodhi,
Is this the tree which was damaged when the large tree fell?
Is this the tree which was damaged when the large tree fell?
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.

It certainly is Mate. The shortening job done by the euc falling on it and the other branch loss has not hurt but enhanced the tree's look. the only branch having a hard time recovering is the middle right hand one at the top. I cannot get it to back bud and might have to cut it back to the stub and start again. The tree is truly ..STYLED..by nature.

Despite the tree "pruning" you still have one amazing tree here!
