Hi Antonio
Has the makings of a terrific tree.
Hirotoshi provides a great example of designing the smallest tree within a tree ( Pup's Quote ) which increases the dynamics of the tree enormously.
cheers

Hi Antonio,
I cannot wait to see it in a bonsai pot. Have you been able to select one yet?
Where did you buy the tree
Best regards.

Re: juniper squamata 2
This looks like it was one of the Paul S grown nursery stock, former owner of Bonsai The Imagination Tree. Is that correct?
Nice outcome,

Re: juniper squamata 2
Nice work Antonio!
I must admit when I first saw this tree on another Bonsai Forum, I was a little dubious about the multiple branches which seemed to twist about the main trunk, but now that you've reduced the tree and added a lot of deadwood, I think I'm coming around. I look forward to seeing it once you have removed the guy wires and refined the deadwood a bit!
Oh, and another thing...
Congratulations on posting the 1000th thread at AusBonsai.com!!!
I don't have a prize to offer you, unless maybe you want a bargain Peppercorn Tree...
Goodonya Ant!

Re: juniper squamata 2
thanks all for the kind words and encouragment. dave that is true i am learning that often the smallest tree is the best tree.
viet i like the profile of pot hiro has sketched, but to eventually get the right dimensions with a mix or warm brown and cinnamon tones in an unglazed pot, it will probably need to be commissioned from one of these fine potters we have here.
Grant you are spot on with that. we spoke about this tree after my workshop with marco. i for one regret not buying a couple more of these at the time.
thanks ketutg me too.
1000th fly how about that!, thanks fly im glad you are warming to this one.much needs to be refined still but all in time.
thanks penny
