Re: Peter Adams Sat Workshops (Vic)
Slowly does it. the first step is to open up the interior and shape a little but not remove a lot of foliage. This tree will take shape gradually and I will avoid stressing the tree.

Hi Gerard,
Great photo's. There are some more photo's at our Facebook page of todays workshop with Peter Adams. They were taken with my 12mp camera on my phone. More photo's will follow later.
The first day of Peter Adams' workshop was a great succes. Tomorrow will be another eventful day. So if you did miss out on today make sure you come down tomorrow. Pat Kennedy will be still around with some great pots but they were selling fast today so be quick. We also had some great raffle prizes with one very lucky winner!

I hope to see you all tomorrow or on Wednesday 12 August 2011 at 7pm.
Cheers,
Chris

I am glad you had a good day of it Gerard. Sorry i have taken so long to respond but i have been plastering my house day and night. I am still taking in the design of the tree. Interesting way to go. I think it is a safe option which cant go wrong but i cant help thinking i would have gone with both trunks.

Re: Peter Adams Sat Workshops (Vic)
I'm a bit slower than I thought posting this but what a great experience the workshop was with Peter. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
Here's some pics of the day. I took 3 trees and Peter selected this juniper to work on. Firstly Peter viewed the tree and then started his sketching. Then he finalises his vision for the tree. He then runs through what he thinks needs to be done and is really patient. Then you get cracking and on this tree it mean plenty of trimming and branch selection with hours and hours of wiring. Peter then makes his rounds helping everyone in the workshop and steps in to make further suggestions and fine tune any work that's being done. He really helps guide and develop. Then finally you end up with something like this which I'm pretty happy with. Needs to be repotted next year as it's still in it's training pot but that can wait. All in all, very happy and better for the experience.
