dead wood and termites help advice

ok this is probably some wehre else as well but i found this great tree which had been destroyed by termites and found some pieces i would like to apapt
to some of my tress but being a newbie im a little unsure whether this is wise. i have left the tree branches out away from everything and there doesnt seem to be any
movement but it is silly to use these in the first place, am i barking up the wrong tree so to say i dont want to ruin my trees at i have great ones, but any advice is great

Just immerse the deadwood pieces in water for a couple of hours, even a day or two, and any remaining termites would drown. use wood hardener and you should be sweet.
