John,
I too are looking for more seedlings of the sequoi. I live in Sydeny and can only find trees out at Orange (central NSW). So far I have two seedlings. I reponted the sequoi's last week & it has grown over 10cm,,,(I can see now that sequoia's are one of the quickest growing trees in the world) I too would be interested in finding more seedlings for the sequoia & Sequiadendron....
I like the fact that these trees are a bit different.
Regards
Ripley

I have some Sequoia Gigantica seeds, bought a whole heap from a seed merchant and planted some out a couple of months ago, just starting to pop up now
Haven't had much luck with Ebay seeds so I just get them from a here now http://www.roystonpetrieseeds.com.au/order_detail.php, have to get heaps though.
Could do a seed swap if you have anything interesting otherwise if you send me a stamped self addressed envelope I will send some back

Re: [Wanted] Sequoia, Sequoiadendron, Metasequoia and Taxodium
Hi Ozzy,
I took your advice & ordered from Royston seeds on Wednesday & they were delivered today. Sequioa Sempervirens 5 grams of seeds. They say on their website that there are approx. 295 seeds per gram & the smallest you can buy is 5 grams....so therefore I have a hell of a lot of seeds. I am going to put quite a few in punnets. I have some punnets that have 64 individual growing chambers....three or four of them & than maybe a large poly box where I will broadcast the seed, work on a survival of the fittest scenario....then group plantings!
I guess my fellow students at the School of Bonsai might be lucky and may well receive extras as well.
Quick question though, should I place in seeds in a fridge for nine weeks now; or just plant them directly into seeding trays?
Anyone?
Cheers

Re: [Wanted] Sequoia, Sequoiadendron, Metasequoia and Taxodium
The seeds have already been in cold storage at Roystons so you could plant out now, or do what I did and plant some now and put some in the fridge for a while and plant later if the first lot don't take off.

Re: [Wanted] Sequoia, Sequoiadendron, Metasequoia and Taxodium
Oh yeah I forgot to add be patient because they could take months to sprout also.
