How well you lived,
How well you loved
How well you learnt to let go.

Hi Dave,

Just letting you know that the Sumo arrived today, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much!

There was obviously a lot of care and effort put into the packing, which ensured its safe journey.

And the tree itself is magnificent, and as an amateur, reflects my most prized tree now :-)

I haven't listened to the CD yet, but I wonder if there are any guidelines to follow to ensure the continued fattening of the root system?

Thank you again :)

Hi Emoska,
sincerely happy that you are pleased with your purchase and I thank you for the kind comments.
I'm sure the little Fig will appreciate your Qld temps rather than the freezing nights in the Hunter valley.
Mate I'm sure you'll find plenty of good oil on the CD, but remember to read it as it is not an audio CD but a book on disc.
Enjoy the read and thanks again
cheers

Thanks L.
Always glad to have another happy customer.
You know what thought just came to mind as I read your posting, the fact that the late Ruth Brown grew these figs from seed in 1980.
When I purchased about 200 of them in 1998, I kept what I considered the best potential for myself and the rest I sold through the markets after I developed them to a saleable stage.
Some I potted up to grow into larger specimens and others I cut and grew to develop Sumos (short fat) with great taper.
These that I am selling are probably within a group of the last 20 that I have left, probably half dozen of which I will keep.
I have sold from Rockhampton to South Australia and each purchaser has been delighted and a little part of Ruth Brown has been spread around the country and will live on forever.
Maybe that's what bonsai is!!!
cheers
Dave
PS Hope you enjoy the "Bonsai Ramblings" CD
