SUMO FIGS FOR SALE
Hi Guys,
these little figs have been grown for SUMO TYPE SHOHIN SIZE BONSAI similar to some of the trees of mine in other postings.
SEE 1st PHOTO WHICH IS NOT FOR SALE!!!
Most are from a group of figs I purchased from the late Ruth Brown from Bibo Nursery and were grown from seed in 1980.
I have had them since 1998 and they have only ever been grown in plastic pots, thus the relatively small size for their age.
You are really only purchasing the trunks and you will notice they are covered in new shoots for the future bonsai custodian to do his thing and develop branches. The existing branches were left on because I thought they may be in useful positions, but don't be put off if they are in the wrong position, just cut them off.
These purchases will come with a free copy of "Bonsai Ramblings" on CD which will explain what to do with these Figs
PRICE $145 each includes FREE REGISTERED POST To NSW, QLD, Vic and S.A. insurance at purchasers cost if required.
NO CRITIQUES ON THESE PLEASE!!!
cheers
Dave

Re: SUMO FIGS FOR SALE
Well done Dave! Fig 3 would have been my pick of the bunch.Dave54 wrote:just letting you know Figs 1 & 2 are now sold through this forum and Fig 3 sold first day.
Any chance on teaching us all how to create a Sumo by trunk chopping and sacrifice branches?
Regards,
Steven

What is it they say any publicity is good publicity. There are always people who can get it cheaper. Like the TV I could have got that 25% off .Dave54 wrote:Hi guys

Re: SUMO FIGS FOR SALE
Here's pics of a twin trunk that I was going to keep.. Remember these are trunk purchases only and the branches may well be removed to start from scratch.
Just realized I trimmed the can again...SORRY you'll have to use youe imagination.
cheers

Re: SUMO FIGS FOR SALE
Hey Dave, you say you were going to keep the twin trunk- does that mean its for sale now? If so, I'm very interested
