It is doing really well OC. I think you need to concave the old chops though.

Looking at maybe carving out where the cuts are an down the trunk a bit i think it would suit the tree if i leave to heal over may not look right i think :?: ill try to find other bonsai with what ive got in mind :yes:

Worked on this tree today an made a grow box ;) this is my daughters tree took a while to wire up but its looking good :tu:

The big cut at the front will be carved out at some stage. Also planning some changes which are shown in other picture the second trunk isnt right so plan on fixing this season should get some shoots in the right spot when we cut it back a bit :fc:

Wow mate, Im in awe of your collection. Your little ones are going to inherit some of the best stock/yamadori!!!!
I like that virt and in no time, itll be achieved. Great work as always.

*Edit: Those scars would make some nice hollow/horse eyes :imo:

We plan to hollow the area where the big cuts are looks like theres about 1-1.5cm dead strip going down to the base but not sure so letting the tree settle more but if there is ill carve down following the dead wood :shifty:

Worked in this tree today it was getting shabby so trimmed it back an started to re-do the second trunk ;)

the second trunk was to straight an its first branch to high so was lucky enough to get a lower shoot if tree grows like it did last year the main structure of the second trunk will be complete by the new year :tu:
