Hi Hackimoto , i was gutted when told the other 30 Junipers were ripped out and destroyed , so yes desperate measures to save these were necessary .As for the Needle Juniper , i don't think so . Maybe Shibui might just do a topic to show where this inspiration came from for this topic .

Alpine, if you really have big problems with curl grub try Ant Stop G It is a granular chlorpyrifos product and will also kill curl grubs. I'd only use it every few months as it is a reasonably toxic product.See link below.

Hi Hackimoto , mate the birds and the bees , but i will take notes a go down to the farmer co-op to see if the can help with something similar . Thanks for the info .
