I was speaking with people who had been to the show today and reports were very good on the quality of the bonsai on display. Good reports also on the sales area, but don't buy everything before I get there tomorrow.

That was quite a show and was awesome to finally meet some of the members from here. It was a great open area to move around in and see all the trees.

I finally got to meet Neil (shibui), it was great to chat with you, and buy a little tree off you.
It was great to finally have a good chat with Grant about bonsai, as the poor guy was flat off his feet at the Ausbonsai sale day selling pots.
You are both a wealth of information and a credit to this site.
As usual any chat with Pat Kennedy is awesome. But whatever you do, don't challenge him to a game of chinese checkers. It was clearly obvious how much of an influence Pats beautiful pots have had when you see how many bonsai were displayed in them.
Thank you so much for the pots, Pat and Graeme. They are fantastic.
Nice to finally meet Marg with her pots.
I would have loved to have sat in on the demonstrations but I had jobs to do at home and that was a heck of a drive back home. :(

But I have to say.... that was obviously not Canberra grammar school. That was Hogwarts Castle! I think at one point I stumbled across Dumbledore while looking for the toilets. :palm:

Some of the trees really took my eye, but I didn't take many pics as I was too busy looking and talking.

These 5 were definitely my favourites:
The first tree - an English elm is one of the most beautiful trees I've ever seen. It has such a beautiful look to it. It looks so raw and natural I just love it. It officially got my vote for favourite tree.

The second tree was just lovely. A callitris which also looked very natural and beautiful. If it had not been for the elm, this would have been my vote.

The remaining 3 were all beautiful.

Just like Rory i didn't take many pictures on my visit to the show. I was too busy looking around and showing my daughter the trees.

Just posting pictures that haven't already been posted by Rory.

Great show this year. Cant wait for next year

It was good to see so many people from interstate this year.

It was a very good show in both layout and quality.
