There are members here that buy stolen trees. I know I have been told by some one who had them stolen. I was asked not to name the person.

You don't have to name the AusBonsai member. Surely you can name the seller, or others will unwittingly buy stolen trees.

I was asked by the person who had it stolen not to say who it was he did not tell me who it was who stole it. The people who buy are worse than those that steal, if they did not buy there would not be any thieves.

The person who bought knew it was as he had seen them.

I hope the victim of the theft will report the recipient of the stolen trees to Steven so they can be removed.

Yes!, thieves are dispicable lowlifes and I'm disapointed to hear this Pup, but enough about that!.
My original comment was meant in context to the general quality of said trees...especially the Trident. Pups following statement cements exactly what we here on the West Coast have to deal with, and that is a very limited supply of decent stock...or advanced material for that matter.
I'm sure Pup will back me up here when I say (just on the 2D pic alone), that to buy that Trident over here you'd be looking at parting with around anywhere between $500- $1000 atleast!
Edward!. If you can produce a tree like that in 3-4 years.... that's pretty impressive...I certainly could'nt. So, if you think this tree is overpriced or not worthy of such a price, spare a thought for us over here. Your very fortunate to be able to have quality stock at your disposal.

I feel sorry for the bugger selling these trees if it isn't him that is the individual knocking trees off or knowingly buying hot trees.....

Anthony, my quote is " 3 to 4 seasons from advanced stock at that price". I say again "Ebay auction is over priced". Do you really think that sort of tree is really worth $500 to $1000? Also the fact that you even emphasised "at least" $500-$1000 for that sort of ebay quality makes me wonder. By the way, if you have a backyard, I dont see why you cant grow trees like this in the ground from starters. When ground grown you will probably get something like the trident or the japanese maple on ebay in about 4 or 5 years with probably a thicker trunk.

I never said they're worth that much...it's just the price trees like that Trident go for in a nursery overhere. Simply...consider yourself lucky. That's all.

Anthony, stop whining and dig a hole in your backyard and put a little maple starter in it. Wire and Cut back each year in late summer and in 5 years time, show me what you got.
