Quality on Ebay...for once

Post by banksia »

Just thought I'd let you East Coasters know that at the moment there looks to be a couple of nice Maples up for auction...especially the Trident.
Bloody quarantine restrictions :x

There are members here that buy stolen trees. I know I have been told by some one who had them stolen. I was asked not to name the person.

That is why I made the comment. :)

Are there certain things to keep an eye out for if you suspect you may be buying a bonsai that has been stolen?

I'd be furious if i had a bonsai stolen and found it for sale on ebay.

As always when it is to good to be true, and always ask the history. If the person is genuine they will know, one of them most reliable sayings is my grandad my uncle/aunt my girlfriend? boyfriend/ but we have split. Are the usual, comments when offering a nice tree at reduced prices.
I have been told that micro dotting is available in Melbourne.

I would be even more furious when the person who bought it changed its apperance.

Cheers :) Pup

NO. I made the comment what poor sod lost some trees because these are cheap. A comment was made and answered.

That I have been told of a member here that had trees stolen, and a member here, bought the stolen trees. Then changed the appearance, so the old owner was so disscusted he did not want them back. The thief was caught the new owner :!: :!: knows who they are.

I am not saying these particular trees are stolen :!: just questioning the possability. :x Pup

Pup, did the buyer know they were stolen before he/she bought them? :o :o :o Or find out after the fact and just tried to cover it up? Either way is bad, but I think the first option would be unforgivable :x :x

Theyre not that nice. At those prices, you could probably make better trees in 3 or 4 seasons with advanced stock. Good luck to whoever is selling it.
