Hi Sidd , its looking good mate .Craig's vert is the next step i would take .Getting a shape is quite easy , keeping it there is what takes a lot of effort . I allowed mine to grow on for 1 season and lost all the previous hard work . It will take another season to reel it back in . A few thread grafts are now required on mine as die back has occurred for some unknown reason probably lack of care and attention .

G'day Sidd, tell me to get lost but something for your consideration; IMo i feel the tree is unbalanced in the Apex area, i think it's the top leader going back against the flow of your tree. I can see you have the very top leader going to the right but i think if you were to wire the next one down to the right(as marked in red) and go from there, the tree would flow alot nicer, what do you think mate ??

Mate I really appreciate the time you took to virt this elm for me I agree with what you are suggesting, it makes perfect visual sense

I just cant see the actual branch you're talking about and exactly how I should adjust it

Do you mind using the largest pic and showing me in a bit more detail

Ok Sidd,

#1 in green could be trained as a new leader and rebuild the whole apex from there or;

#2 could most likely be wired across to the require place and adjustment made from there

#3 is about the area, the change of direction needs to take place, and few new branches may need to be grown to fill some gaps,

also- Sidd can i trouble you for a side on pic please,

geez i didn't realize that tha apex came so far forward, I'd still be inclined to say the same as i did before(re;the virt), but i think the branch circled in red is the one to use and the whole apex needs straightening up somewhat, so it does not lean so far forward. The apex should come slightly forward but not as much as it is,

The green circle is a maybe leader

Its so hars to be exact without seeing the tree, anyway i hope this helps some more mate, let us know what you decide,
