The main thing to remember is that the Dremmel/ Ozito tools are finishing or light carving tools. If you push them too hard and apply too much pressure they can fail. Use them at high speed with low pressure and they can go all day. If it starts to get too hot, STOP. I have had 2 dremmels over many years with my current one for at least 10 years with no problems.
For heavier carving I mostly use the Arbortec carvers that fit on 4" grinders and have done for years. Fantastic tools. Nothing removes large amounts of timber faster and easier than the Arbortec Indusrial Pro wheel that fits on any 4" grinder. I also have a die grinder with various bits for deeper carving.
Different tools for different jobs. Happy carving. It is so much fun on the right tree.
