actually bodhi,

i don't think it's changed too much, i think the top is dead already, the trunk already has some major shari, it's really just a bend in the first branch

have made many changes. Also 2carvings. First time ive had a go on this, did take me 3hrs maybe 4 by the time i got the hang of it all. PixlR is the program i used. iichose the first picture i guess its the front view. so here goes
Image00014.jpg
as you can see is hollo inside, on a large normal tree, its use could be a hide out.
Image00015.jpg
apex is removed i thought it was to heavy on top.smaller branches on the trunk removed to open up for light.
Image00016.jpg
.I choose to fully load the branches with clouds of blossoms for favour.
Image00017.jpg
just to add balance i removed more branches toward the apex because it didnt look right. and i felt too heavy a first branch so i reduced this also. My tree feels balanced( to me) when i look at it it feels right. But im no expert i just go with what feels comfotable to me.
im open to coments, feel free to do so. Petra!

So I had some work I've been avoiding (checking the alpha order of 130+ pp of references, anyone?) and figured this would be a good way of killing time.
Here's my very rough photoshop of the tree. I decided to ditch the top entirely. I don't have any experience with carving, so have not included any in my virt.

ok second entry here, there are some great entries but thought i would give it another go with a different idea. for this to work some major luck would have to happen with getting suckers to grow and keep going and thicken up with out affecting the trunk to much, some major carving would take place to.
but being virtual the sky is the limit as it is a computer or drawn picure thats been editted.
my imagination sorta ran wild with it, but sometimes i can do that, anyways enough talk, here it is.

not so happy with the rounded canopy on top so otherwise i like the trunk if i was good enough with the virts i would do an image of the tree out of leaf! :D :(
but im not so this will have to do!
