Found it really tricky to book accommodation. Is something else happening in Goulburn this weekend that will make the trip doubly worthwhile?

There certainly is, the annual Lilac City Festival is on so there is a lot for visitors to see and do.
Of course the bonsai exhibition should be number one on everyone's list.

Hope all the exhibition trees are under cover. Looks like some wild weather is on its way before clearing again for the weekend.

Re: Goulburn Bonsai Society Annual Exhibition 2016
See you there Sunday morning Watto.
Looking forward to,the drive up from Canberra. Lake George has plenty of water in it and the Rowes Lagoon has lots of water and water birds this year as well.
Then a nice spot of lunch and a drive back to Canberra via a different scenic route.
By the way, my Hawthorn that I dug out down your way 9 years ago is finally flowering.

Great news Grant. I will have all my Hawthorns flowering this year but now for the exhibition unfortunately. Our exhibition is real early this year so with a bit of luck, next year.

Many Thanks Rory for the info.
You should get a cut rate from Watto if you are ever lucky enough to make it down this way.
