well seen as i updated my aus native entry i figured i will update this thread aswell as it is the same tree :D
Triclerof.jpg
Triclerosl.jpg
Tricleroback.jpg

this has been one of the fastest trees i have seen in terms of growth and hardening of new shots, the speed it extends is unbeleivable, this species has turned into one of my favourite species to work with as the growth is quick and you see results fast!

another update :D these things grow so fast. this bit of work was just a bit of refinement preparing the tree for foliage pads :D i think its coming along well!

i am very happy with the tree from the top veiw looking at all the foliage, it will not be long before the round shape will be there :D this has happened with out me trying for it, just trying to keep the tree in check with pinching back shoots at the top pushing growth down and it does and very well :D

It's looking very good mate. By the way, how many trees do you have so far Jamie? I'm not sure how many but can guaranty that you are the one that has the most pics used for arvatar in this forum :)
Always we hope someone else has the answer.

lol, are we talking in bonsai pots or in grow on stages?

in pots i have 9 trees in refinement stages, will probably take that down to 7-8 as i want to develop one or two further.

in grow on stages i have about 60 at various stages :D

update!

its coming up pretty much to plan so far, i have basically stopped wiring unless it is easy enough to get on, i have been resorting to clip and grow alot with my clero as they are starting to get rather tight in foliage and branching.

Hi Jamie, Your clero is raging you must be really pleased. there is one small detail, on the right hand trunk there is a branch coming back over the main trunk, which could obscure the front of the tree once it develops further ramification.

thanks anja ;)

cheers craig! i see what you mean, i am planing on rotating the tree clockwise about 10 maybe twenty degrees, so that the right hand trunk just shows a little space between itself and the middle trunk, it seems every time i photograph this tree i get the wrong angle, only slightly though.

the great thing bout clero is i could cut that off if i wanted to and if it didnt work it wouldnt take very long to re grow, there is actually a branch just above that one doing the same filling part of the canopy of the right trunk!

Hi Jamie, apart from that one small problem I think you have done a great job on this tree. I Iove the fact that the main trunk is head and shoulders above the others it gives it a real sense of power and the high branching on this trunk is really nicely laid out, as the tree matures you will really see this as a stand out feature. If you could somehow get a curve into the left hand trunk to match the one on the right it wold improve it even more.

gday mate :D

i missed this post last time! i feel the tree is quite a powerful tree altogether but i definately see what you mean :D interesting you say about the left hand trunk, at the moment the tree in its pot is not at the best angle, i need to bring it around another 10 degrees maybe :D this will change the look some more and it will have the middle and right trunk closer with the left slightly further away leaning, i guess you could call it, father, mother and son???? with a tall father figure, a short mother and a son that is growing up and getting further away as we all do when we go through our teenage years ;)

Well done Jamie I like the way it`s comming on, just a couple of little spots need filling out. The main branch on the lh side needs to have the secondary branches grown more it will also help thicken it . I like that you have left the third trunk for something different good stuff. CHEERS ROD.....

cheers Rod :D

that lower LH branch is a bit of a bugger, i had to let it extend first to get to the right length, it is about there now and i have cut back to get backbudding coming through, they are starting to shoot secondary branching now, i reckon that will have filled by the end of summer if not a bit sooner, one question i do have, these guys flower i know that but when do they come out?
