I would think that is really up to the stall holder where the goods have been purchased and is the responsibility of the vendor. It is in their interest to be nice to customers.

Grant
Yes I agree, but maybe collectively we can come up with standard way to manage the requirement / Request.

I had to do a triple check to make sure I'd loaded up all my purchases and didn't leave any still sitting under benches while I was on my way home.

First world problems I know.

just got back from the market day.
a general observation, both last year and yesterday, i sold nothing over $300. maybe a common trend with other sellers?
perhaps i will not taking any big ticket items next time, as i sold out of the shohin japanese black pines and pinus Nigra very early in the morning.
overall a great day out and got the time to catch up with ausbonsai friends and made new contacts.

A big thank you to everyone who came to support the AusBonsai Market yesterday. There was a great variety of sellers and products as well as some excellent trees from all over NSW as well as representation from VIC and Canberra. Visitors came from far and wide too! I really appreciate the effort that everyone went to and I hope that you had a great time.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for the next AusBonsai Market please let me know.

Following are some pictures I snapped. Firstly, the calm before the gates opened at 10am.

It was a great day out. Both my kids had a blast and I found a very nice pot, (thanks Grant). Nice to have finally met you too.

Nice to have also met some of the faces of those who are members here too. :tu:

I'm still amazed I didn't buy a single tree. :lost:

Going forward, the only recommendation I would probably have would be optional, but to have large name tags with your name / ausbonsai member id on them, so you get to know the members on here better and say hello.

Thanks again for organizing another great day Steven . It was good to catch up and meet some of the Ausbonsai mob . I got some great pots ( a Pat pot , a Roger pot , a pot off Steven ,a couple of Janet pots and a few japanese pots ) .i wasn't intending on buying anymore trees but Watto talked me into buying an old Hornbeam :palm: . All in all a great day .
Cheers Sno

there was one customer, after seeing what's been done to my black pine, asked me for a little advice on how to go about doing it. obviously couldn't do much on the spot and he didn't have photos of the tree to show me.
and another one who asked me the maintennance of the pines. and again, i didn't bring my tools to show them how i perform those tasks.

so the point is, a bonsai clinic/advice/...... table for people to bring in troubled/questioned trees to get some directions and advice from the people who are there on the day. maybe have one experienced member there at the table?

I was actually thinking of something similar Myself.
A clinic and or Demo going on at the same time might be a good value add.

I realize this is a very early long shot....

Steven / organizers, but does anyone know the date for the 2017 AusBonsai Market Day or at least the weekend it will be held?

I have to plan a trip in March soon, and I really do not want to cross dates with this event. :)

G'day Rory et al,

We are planning towards Sunday 5th March 2017 however due to the restructure of NSW Councils, we are yet to get formal approval of this date from the newly founded Cumberland Council .

I have a few ideas up my sleeve which should make this the best event yet... stand by for updates...

Thanks for your ongoing support :tu:
