Awsome tree Ant.

Looking very good Ant. would love to see a 4 sided photo shoot of it, The branch in the middle left hand side seems a little bulky at the trunkline compared to the others. Hopefully it will grow out, This will be a nice tree.

Ah! yes Antonio thank you for having the good grace of adopting anothers advice in design. This shows us your great character in embracing another point of view. I sometimes (nearly always) followed my sensei on design principles and ended up with better trees. It usually is the best way to to arrive at that point where experience kicks in (a learning curve if you like) and we all learn more and more each day. This trident is going places and you know it. Nebari is the next area you need to address but that will happen. Good work.

Thanks Bodhi; if you have a close look at Rods virt. the tree has 2 trunks. Rod virted and damn well may i say with what was there. I have taken this idea and thought about what can be. The conclusion to cut back some and introduce more movement and taper. So the branch you are referancing,in actual fact is a trunk on the build and for now the thickness is right on que. Having said that the tree certainly has now also opened up other options.

Thankyou Ash, If i like someones work and direction, i jump on board big time. My father always taught me to hang out with they who are better than me. My trees are starting to show it. Yes roots next, cant wait to see what awaits me there.

I think it was Henry Ford that came up with that Notion. Smart fella he was.
I think you need to look at the two trunks more like branches in a broom. I think the tallest is a little tall but maybe that will be ok once you replace the upper shoots on the large branch with new shoots from the bottom!

Oh and I am a little unsure about the deemons eye carving. I tend to think an upside down teardrop is more natural.

I missed this one But Rod's design your final implementations are exactly what I thought about this tree when I first saw
the picture.

For me, the dead wood is the most attractive feature of this trident I would not sell it if it were mine.

I could not but wonder how the dead came about? Was it the main trunk, then there were two strong shots that eventually
fused, then the main trunk was chopped off, hence the strange dead wood?

What are you doing about the treatment of the exposed wood Antonio?

AHA..now i see. That makes more sense. Yes if you can capture the virt Rod has done it will be brilliant. Wish i could sketch like that but..i have many other talents
