The discussion has evolved into talk of Broom variations and younger looking trees. This particular discussion has inspired me immensely, so as you do, i hopped off to one of my favourite nurseries today. Collecter's Corner at Garden World. It's as if i could feel it in my gut!!! 12 high noon i entered the premises. Did my usual quick dash to take it all in and then nit pick. Except there wasn't much to nit pick. The place is undergoin major reno's and the bonsai section has temporarely been made smaller. At least i hope its temporary. No new stock since my last visit, well ok not much. Anyway back to nit picking! After a couple of laps and ignoring a line of big formal tridents,BANG! this one hit me. uuum not a sexy miyogi style, ahhhhh not a powerful formal upright. In fact there is something very different about this tree. So i picked it up, took it to a table where i could spin it around and poke at it. YES this is the tree to learn what has so deeply inspired me the last couple of days. Enough waffling and here it is.
